Location: Wigman with 4 rounds of golf, room, breakfast included at $240.

$240 non-refundable deposit due in order to hold your RSVP to the tournament this year. If you cancel but are able to find a replacement (of similar handicap) we will refund your $240. We have to sign a contract guaranteeing the money to the facilities and cannot be held financially responsible for individual golfers and there situations. PLEASE GET YOUR DEPOSIT TO A CAPTAIN (SETH CARSTENS / STEVE ROST) TO RSVP! FIRST 16 PLAYERS PLAY! **Please note that all golfers must stay and play this year to be a part of the tournament. Also note we expect all players to play all 3 days. This is Ryder Cup gentlemen and every point counts.

$100 cash for Tournament Entry is due to your captain BEFORE the first matches are played on Friday afternoon. This is for prize money, to be split between the man with the most points on each team ($75 each), and the rest will be split among the 8 golfers on the winning team ($180 each).

What to Bring

  • $100 Cash for Tournament Entry
  • Food and Drinks (Beer, chips, crackers, pretzels, etc). If everyone brings something I’m sure we can all share but these things will not be provided to those who don’t bring anything… rookies you better bring some extra!
  • $$$ for playing cards at night. We will likely have 2 tables this year, high rollers and low rollers since we have 18 guys. Bring more $$$$ if you want to gamble at the casino… I assure you its more expensive to play there!
  • Sunscreen and Water
  • A strong stomach, little need for sleep, and a good attitude, we expect no drama this year except for Mr. Flosi’s normal outbursts and pranks which are to be expected.

The Rules

Match Play

All games are played under Match Play rules, where the result of each game is determined by the number of holes won. Games are worth one point. HANDICAPS RULES HAVE CHANGED. This year we are playing a straight 75% handicap on all matches. This is different from the previous years. Please ask your Captain for details once a captain is assigned to you.

Teams

Coin Toss –
Winner of toss will pick first and have picks 1,4,5,8,9,12
Loser of toss will pick side US or EUR and have picks 2,3,6,7,10,11
DONE – Steve Rost was the winner and chose to pick first.

Match-ups
Each Captain writes down the order of which there players go off the tee. Matches are made based on when they tee off.

Ball Placement
Players may roll the ball within 6 inches of its original placement without penalty -> PICK AND PLACE. However, a ball cannot be placed onto a green from the fringe
Any ball not found or out of bounds does NOT play lateral this year…sorry guys. Any ball hit into a hazard (i.e. water) must be played at the “point of entry”. So gentlemen, if you try to clear the water and don’t make it, you drop where it entered… yes that’s much further from the green.

No breakfast balls, no mulligans

Honor System
Players score themselves, and make final decision on their own scorecard as to their score.

Putts
All puts must be putted out unless your opponent(s) agree unanimously to concede the put regardless of distance.

No Shows

Except for emergencies… Family First! Player forfeits any hole he does not attend.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON – 1:30PM Tee Time

1  Singles Match & Fourball (Best Ball) – “Fourball” play is a match in which each member of the two-man teams plays their own ball. Four balls are in play per hole with each of the four players competing. The team whose player has the lowest score on that hole wins the hole. Should players from each team tie for the best score, the hole is halved. Captains name the team pairings. Team USA will name first match-up. Team Europe will determine next two match-ups.

SATURDAY MORNING- 8:00AM Tee Time

SATURDAY AFTERNOON – 1:30PM Tee Time

1  Singles Match & Alternating shot /w 2 Tee Shots – players A and B are partners. They both tee off. Let’s say they decide to use Player A’s tee shot. They pickup player B, and Player B hits the second shot from the chosen tee shots landing area (pick and place rule). The third stroke is played by Player A. Then Player B hits the fourth. They alternate hitting shots until the ball is in the hole. They both tee off on the next hole and repeat the pattern for all 18 holes.

SUNDAY MORNING – 8:00AM Tee Time

Singles  – “Singles” is a match in which one player competes against another player. A player wins the match when he is up by more holes than there are holes remaining to play. Captains will determine match-ups by choosing the order of which there players tee off and matched by the exact order.
